1. Data We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account and use Sarkit. This includes:
- Business name, owner name, email address, and phone number
- Shop location(s) and operational details
- Product catalog, pricing, and inventory data
- Sales transactions and customer records (Khata/ledger entries)
- Staff accounts and access logs
- WhatsApp Business account metadata (when connected)
We also automatically collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and usage patterns to improve the platform.
2. Data Storage
All Sarkit data is stored on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. Our primary data region is configured for compliance with Pakistani data regulations. Data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). We maintain automated daily backups with a 30-day retention period.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide, operate, and improve the Sarkit platform
- To process your transactions and generate reports
- To send invoices and notifications via WhatsApp (only when you initiate)
- To respond to your support requests
- To send product updates and service announcements (you can opt out)
- To detect and prevent fraud or security incidents
4. Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or business data to any third party. We share data only with the following trusted service providers strictly as needed to operate Sarkit:
- Google Cloud Platform — infrastructure and hosting
- WhatsApp Business API (Meta) — message delivery only
- Payment processors — for subscription billing only
All third parties are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
5. WhatsApp Data
When you connect your WhatsApp Business number to Sarkit, we access message content solely to process commands (e.g., recording sales, Khata entries) and to deliver invoices. We do not read personal conversations. You can disconnect WhatsApp at any time from your account settings, after which we will stop processing WhatsApp messages and will purge cached message data within 30 days.
6. Business Owner Rights
As a Sarkit account holder, you have the right to:
- Access — download a full export of your business data at any time from Settings → Export Data
- Correct — update any inaccurate information directly in the platform
- Delete — request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability — receive your data in machine-readable format (CSV/JSON)
- Opt out — unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time
